Whatttttt not a polka-dotted DONKEY!!!!!!

We read the book, The Artist Who Painted a Blue Horse by: Eric Carle. We made our very own unexpected character. Yes, a polka-dotted donkey. This was so much fun. https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Eric-Carle-More-Than-an-Authors-Study-2517506

Eric Carle and our Author Study!

We spent two weeks exploring Eric Carle and his amazing books. We transformed into artist and made tissue paper art. We watched video interviews of Eric Carle. We created our very own crazy wacky unique Eric Carle type characters; but most of all we had a blast!

Lemonade the HOMEmade Way!

Today we made homemade lemonade. The kids loved it! I hope that they remember the way that the lemons felt and smelt as they squeezed out the juice. We had a blast!

Writing Like A Scientist Unit!!

https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/WK2-W12-NONFICTION-WRITING-LIKE-SCIENTISTS-2220644The children were amazing with this writing unit. They made great investigations as the apples changed colors and shapes. They were excited about their writing. Something as simple as 1 apple and four paper cups can be so motivating. I love my job!
