We Know A Latte About Our Books- Character Setting and Major Event Display

Teaching my students to retell books with meaning is so important to me. These worksheets provide easy retelling solutions. Students work closely drawing and/or writing the problem and the solution, character, setting, and major event, and the beginning middle and end. It's a great way to see how they are connecting to the books they are reading or a read-aloud.

We created a SHAPE Museum!

I gave my students different things to create shapes with. Kids were separated into groups. Each group had a shape that they were responsible for creating an exhibit for. I stood back and just lightly facilitated. I was so pleased with the children's ideas and creations. We invited other classrooms to come in, and peruse our shape museum. It was so much fun for all of us.
